Our Vehicles

Since its first ambulance, acquired from the Manasquan Rescue Squad in 1938, the Squad has grown along with the West Essex area. We currently operate 4 ambulances, 1 support vehicle, and 1 rescue truck.





771 is a Horton Model 533A Type III Box mounted on a 2003 Ford E450 chassis.




 772 is a 2013 Horton Model 533A Type III box mounted on a 2013 Ford E450 chassis..




774,  is a 2011 Horton Model 533A Type III Box mounted on a 2010 Ford E450 chassis.



775 is a Horton Model 533A Type III Box mounted on a 2006 Ford E450 chassis.



779 was delivered in April 2008. This vehicle is the Emergency Response Support Vehicle. This vehicle is set up to carry an inflatable building, coffee, water and generators to any scene where the West Essex First Aid Squad will be staged for an extended period of time.


The Squad thanks The Rotary Club of the Caldwells for the donation of the van chassis which made this vehicle possible.

773773 is a 25' Rescue 1 custom truck on a 2009 Spartan cab and chassis. It is equipped for motor vehicle extrication, fire standbys, and low angle rescue including the Jaws of Life and Hurst's top of the line spreader and cutter. In addition 773 carries ladders, hand tools, saws, low and high pressure airbags, air tools, and rope.
